Make a Change Coventry
Make a Change launched in Coventry in September 2025, thanks to funding from the National Community Lottery Fund. It’s delivered locally by Relationships Coventry & Warwickshire (RCW), Coventry Haven and Panahghar.
Make a Change helps people get support to change their harmful behaviour at the earliest possible point. It is delivered alongside other services provided by RCW, Coventry Haven and Panahghar.
We offer the full range of Make a Change services in Coventry, including:
Direct work with people who are concerned about their behaviour towards their partner and/or ex-partner, including a structured 10 to 26-week programme.
Proactive support to the partners and ex-partners of people referred to the service.
Briefings and trainings for professionals who want to strengthen their response to harmful behaviour in current or previous relationships.
Community outreach, including to the friends and family around relationships where harmful behaviour is happening.
If you're concerned about your behaviour, or someone else's, call 02476 225 863, email mac@relationshipscw.org, or visit www.relationshipscovandwarks.org. You can also fill in our form to get in touch with the Make a Change team.
Training for professionals
We offer a range of different training packages for professionals, completely free of charge, to meet the needs of your role or organisation. Our trainings give you and your team the tools to recognise harmful behaviour in relationships, to respond effectively and safely, and to make referrals.
Recognise, Respond and Refer training
If you have a role that means you’re building relationships with people and/or entering their homes, you might have experienced that ‘gut feeling’ that tells you something isn’t quite right in their relationship, or witnessed something that shouldn’t be happening. Our free Recognise, Respond and Refer (RRR) training can support you to recognise the signs of harmful behaviour, respond safely and effectively, and refer on to Make a Change. To book this training, please email: cscptraining@coventry.gov.uk.
